Mentor Coach

Coaches from the community, for the community.

  • Play a key role in delivering high-quality, community-rooted sports programming

  • Lead sports practices for TK–8th grade students at local school campuses

  • Support and mentor student coaches from nearby high schools and colleges

  • Go beyond coaching: help build a culture of leadership, joy, and connection through sport

Student Coach

By becoming a student coach, you will:

  • learn from a coaching curriculum and receive a coaching license

  • be mentored by a mentor coach

  • participate in collaborations with LA’s leading sports clubs

  • coach at elementary schools and middle schools

  • become an active member in the community

  • gain leadership skills

Home Field Advantage offers a variety of ways to get involved—from helping at events to supporting practices, organizing equipment, or assisting with creative projects. Whether you’re looking for a one-time opportunity or ongoing involvement, your time and energy can make a real impact.

Ways to volunteer:

  • Community events: setup, check-in, games, food stations

  • Creative/media: photo/video documentation, flyer design, social media support

  • Gear organization: sorting, cleaning, and distributing equipment

  • Workshops/field trips: assist with logistics and youth engagement

  • Outreach: help share program info with schools and neighborhoods
