San Tia; from HFA student coach to Stanford

Spring, 2025

We’re so proud to have had San Tia as part of our Home Field Advantage family. As a student coach, she was always ready to help, supporting our coaches, stepping in wherever needed, and bringing a thoughtful, steady presence to the team. Her dedication stood out, and we’re grateful for the time she gave us.

San played Varsity Tennis all four years of high school while maintaining a 4.7 cumulative GPA. She took on multiple leadership roles, serving as president of Power4Periods, vice president of Femineers, the Trevor Project Club, and the Writing Center, secretary of the Eco Club, and treasurer of the Math Competition Club. She also worked as a math tutor, Writing Center tutor, and Link Crew leader. Beyond school, she volunteered with Home Field Advantage, the Downey Theatre, and PIH, all while holding a part-time job at a restaurant. Over the course of her high school career, she received four Viking Awards in Biological Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, and Social Science.

This fall, she’ll be attending Stanford University! While we’ll miss her, we’re so excited for what’s ahead. Her HFA family will always be cheering her on, and she’ll always have a place here at HFA.
