Founder & Executive Director

Sacha van der Most van Spijk, a native of the Netherlands who now calls Downey, California home, has dedicated his life to soccer, sports, and community development. He moved to California to pursue coaching, education, and playing soccer, eventually helping lay the foundation for professional youth soccer development in Southern California through his work with Major League Soccer (MLS) academies.

He later founded Home Field Advantage, a nonprofit organization focused on creating healthier, stronger, and more connected communities through sports leadership development, with a strong focus on Southeast Los Angeles.

With experience coaching at Chivas USA and LA Galaxy, as well as scouting for the Mexican Football Federation, Sacha brings a wealth of knowledge to his work in sports and community building.

He holds a degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Long Beach, along with numerous elite coaching licenses. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing soccer whenever possible.
