Home Field Advantage Selected for Soccer Forward Grant Ahead of World Cup 2026
March 2026
Home Field Advantage has been selected as one of 17 nonprofits nationwide—and one of two in Los Angeles—to receive funding through the Vamos World Cup Initiative, led by Comcast NBCUniversal and Telemundo 52 in partnership with U.S. Soccer’s Soccer Forward Foundation.
The initiative is investing $600,000 into organizations using soccer to create opportunity, build leadership, and strengthen communities ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™. As part of this effort, Telemundo 52 will also highlight and amplify the impact of selected organizations through media and community engagement leading up to the tournament.
Home Field Advantage was recognized for its work building healthier, more connected communities by mentoring local leaders to coach sports in underused neighborhood spaces—expanding access to play while developing the next generation of community role models.
This support will help continue growing neighborhood-based programming across Southeast Los Angeles, ensuring more youth have consistent access to sport and leadership opportunities.
